DRIVESHAFT FAQ

This Driveshaft FAQ is meant to help our customers give accurate measurements so we can eliminate any concerns about fitment issues. Please read the steps below and if you have any other questions please reach out to us Sales@hdtautoparts.com

Step one: Measure the overall length of driveshaft. Be sure to measure from the inside of the lip on the differential flange. (pictured below) Measure from the flange, to the face of the Guibo. (A1 on the diagram)

Step Two: Measure from Guibo to Center Support bearing studs. Make sure to measure from the face of the guibo. (B1)

Step Three: Measure from the differential flange to the Center Bearing support studs. (B2)

Step Four: Measure the Guibo. Since there are many generations and variations of BMW, it's important to check this measure to ensure correct fitment.

Custom Driveshaft Disclaimer

We offer a 90-day warranty covering defects or vibration-related issues on custom or modified driveshafts. This warranty also applies to incorrect builds or dimension errors made by production only if a complete and accurate build sheet, with all required measurements, was submitted prior.

Driveshafts that fall outside these conditions are not covered under warranty due to unpredictable fitment & use. Custom Driveshafts deviate from factory specs. Small changes in suspension geometry, drivetrain angles, or mounting points can affect how the driveshaft performs. This leads into unpredictable setups, making it impossible to guarantee how they'll behave under stress, load, or vibration.

All measurements and design specifications are the sole responsibility of the customer.
While we are happy to offer input and advice, it is ultimately your responsibility to verify and confirm all details before placing your order.
Once the build process has started, orders cannot be reversed, modified, or canceled.
This warranty becomes null and void if damage is caused by: (i) misuse, abuse or accident; (ii) the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; (iii) alteration of the product; (iv) improper installation, including, but not limited to, use of improper tools; (v) exposure to harsh weather, road debris and other road hazards, and/or chemicals; (vi) lack of proper maintenance; or (vii) unauthorized repairs. This warranty also becomes null and void if the product is opened or any sticker is tampered with, broken, or missing, or if the damage is caused by any other condition that is beyond the control of seller. IN ALL CASES, SELLER SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TYPE OF INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICUALR PURPOSE AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, ARE EXCLUDED.
